Today, President Donald J. Trump announced his intent to nominate the following individuals to key positions in his Administration:

Paul J. Ray of Tennessee, to be the Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Office of Management and Budget.

Paul J. Ray has served as the Acting Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs for the last six months and as Associate Administrator since May of 2018.  Before joining the Office of Management and Budget, he served as Counselor to the Secretary of Labor, where he supervised regulatory reform efforts.  Previous to his government service, Mr. Ray worked as an appellate litigator, specializing in administrative law.  He attended Hillsdale College, graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, and clerked for the Honorable Samuel A. Alito of the United States Supreme Court.

Kipp Kranbuhl of Ohio, to be an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury (Financial Markets).

Mr. Kranbuhl currently serves as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Markets at the Department of the Treasury.  He joined the Treasury in 2017 as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Small Business, Community Development, and Affordable Housing Policy and also served as the Acting Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions.  Before joining the Treasury, Mr. Kranbuhl worked for Gladstone Investment Corporation, Petra Capital Partners, and Wheat First Butcher Singer/First Union Securities.  Mr. Kranbuhl was born and raised in Ohio and earned degrees from Duke University and the University of Michigan Business School.
